Ireland occupies a specific position: an English-speaking common-law country inside the European Union, with a technology and pharmaceutical sector concentrated around Dublin and Cork that recruits directly from its universities.
Its financial requirements are unusually explicit. You must show €10,000 per academic year in addition to course fees, and the D Study Visa application must evidence at least €6,000 already paid toward tuition — or the institution's required minimum deposit, where that is higher.
That second requirement catches students out. It means real money leaves your account before a visa decision exists, which changes how you should sequence deposits, loan disbursement and the application itself.
After graduation, the Third Level Graduate Programme permits up to two years of stay to seek and take employment. Dublin's accommodation market is the counterweight and should be investigated before, not after, you accept an offer.
