The terms we work under.

The terms on which we advise, what we are responsible for, what we are not, how we are paid, and the limits of what any consultancy can promise about a visa decision.

Medica Study Advisor

These terms govern your use of this website and any advisory engagement with Medica Study Advisor. Where you sign a separate written engagement letter for fee-based work, that letter governs the specifics of the work and these terms cover everything around it.

They are written to be read. If any part of what follows is unclear, ask us before you engage us — a term you did not understand is a term we failed to write.

Who you are dealing with

Medica Study Advisor is an independent study-abroad consultancy advising students from Pakistan on university applications and student visas in countries around the world, with particular expertise in healthcare and engineering disciplines.

We are based in Medica Study Advisor, Lahore, Pakistan.

What we do — and what we are not

We assess profiles, shortlist universities and courses, prepare documentation, develop statements of purpose with you, assist with applications, prepare you for interviews, guide you through the student visa process, brief you before departure, and support you after arrival through our student communities.

We are an education consultancy and not a law firm, and the disclaimer set out above this section governs everything that follows it.

Where a matter requires a licensed practitioner — a refusal carrying a misrepresentation finding, a complex immigration history, an appeal — we say so and refer you rather than attempt it.

No university or institution directs the advice we give.

No guarantee of admission or of a visa

Admission decisions are made by institutions. Visa decisions are made by government officers applying rules that change, sometimes mid-cycle. Neither decision is ours, and no consultancy can promise either one.

We therefore make no guarantee of an offer, a scholarship, a visa, a processing time, a job, a sponsorship or an outcome of any kind. We do not promise guaranteed jobs or sponsorships. Instead, we provide practical guidance, information, and support to help you understand and pursue opportunities responsibly.

Any projection we give you — cost, timeline, likelihood, realistic outcomes — is an informed estimate made on the information available on the day, not a warranty.

The information published on this website

Financial thresholds, government fees, work rights and processing times shown on this site carry a link to the official source they came from and the date we last verified them. They were accurate on that date and are published for general information only.

Rules change frequently and sometimes without notice. Before you act on any figure here — before you move money, book a test or pay a deposit — confirm it on the official government page we link to, or ask us to confirm it for your specific case.

This website is not advice on your circumstances. Advice begins when an advisor has read your documents.

What we need from you

Our work rests entirely on the accuracy of what you give us. You agree to provide complete and truthful information and genuine documents, and to tell us promptly when something changes — a new test score, a rejected loan, a change of plan, a refusal elsewhere.

  • Disclose every previous visa application and refusal, in full, including the refusal notice itself. A concealed refusal converts a recoverable file into an unrecoverable one, and it is the single most damaging thing a student can do to their own application.
  • Do not ask us to submit a document you know to be altered, fabricated or obtained improperly. We will not do it. We will close the file, we will not refund work already done, and where the law requires disclosure we will make it.
  • Meet the deadlines we give you for documents, deposits and appointments. Several destinations require money to have been held for a set period before a decision exists; time lost there cannot be bought back later.
  • Attend appointments and interviews you have asked us to arrange, or tell us in time to move them.
  • Read what we send you. The written evaluation, the shortlist and the visa checklist are the substance of the engagement, not paperwork attached to it.

Fees

Your initial consultation and profile assessment are free. Fees and services are discussed openly during consultation. Before any further work begins we explain what each service involves and what it costs, and that is confirmed to you in writing.

Fees are for the preparation and guidance described, not for a decision, and are not contingent on the outcome of an application.

Government fees, institutional deposits, test fees, medical examinations, courier charges and translation costs are payable by you directly to the party charging them. We do not mark them up and we do not receive any part of them.

Cancellation and refunds

You may end a fee-based engagement at any time by writing to us. Fees for work already performed at the point of cancellation remain payable; fees for work not yet begun are refunded in full within fourteen working days.

We may end an engagement where information proves to have been misrepresented, where a required document is withheld, or where continuing would require us to act outside these terms. In that event we will tell you why in writing.

A refused visa is not a refundable event. Our fee buys the preparation and guidance for the strongest application your profile supports, not the decision.

Institutions, authorities and other third parties

We are not responsible for the acts or decisions of universities, immigration authorities, visa application centres, lenders, blocked-account or GIC providers, test administrators, accommodation providers or airlines, and we cannot be held to their timelines.

Where we introduce you to a third party we do so on the basis of experience and fit. Any contract you enter with them is yours, on their terms, and you should read those terms before you sign.

Using this website

You may read, print and share this site for your own purposes. You may not scrape it at scale, re-publish its content as your own, or use it to train a commercial model without our written permission.

The enquiry forms are for genuine enquiries. Do not use them to submit another person's details without their knowledge, or to send automated or bulk traffic.

Intellectual property

The text, artwork, data compilations and design of this site belong to Medica Study Advisor unless credited otherwise. Government figures are reproduced from the sources linked beside them and remain the property of the publishing authority.

Documents we prepare for you — your evaluation, your shortlist, your statement of purpose — are yours to use for your own applications, including if you go on to apply without us.

Liability

We accept responsibility for our own professional negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, our total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees you have paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — a deferred intake, lost earnings, non-refundable travel or an institutional deposit — arising from a decision made by an institution or an immigration authority.

We are not liable for a loss caused by information you gave us that was inaccurate or incomplete, or by a document withheld from us.

Complaints

Tell us. Write to info@medicastudyadvisor.com with your file reference and what went wrong. Someone who has not worked on your file will acknowledge it within two working days and respond substantively within fifteen.

If our answer does not resolve it, you are free to take the matter to the relevant regulator or professional body, and we will give you its details rather than make you find them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts at Lahore have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except where the law of your country of residence gives you a right to bring proceedings locally — in which case that right is unaffected.

Changes to these terms

These terms were last updated in September 2026. We may revise them, and the version on this page is the current one. A revision does not change the terms of an engagement already underway; those are the terms you accepted when the engagement began.

If any part of this document is unclear, ask before you engage us. A term you did not understand is a term we failed to write.
